The VCM-88C from Ashly is a rack-mountable eight-channel level controller ideal for nightclubs, boardrooms, houses of worship, or any venue that needs remote volume control of individual levels. Control of the VCM-88C can be achieved in a number of ways. It can be controlled by the RD-8 and RW-8 remote controllers, by using the Protea System Software and an RS-232 connection, by Crestron or AMX touchscreen controllers, or DC control using external potentiometers.
The eight channels of the VCM-88C are capable of limiting, remote level control, and mixing. When used by itself, the unit is a precise eight-channel limiter with threshold adjustments on each channel. When connected to an external controller, the VCM-88C can control all individual and master levels.
The VCM-88C can also function as an eight-channel remote controlled line level mixer, thanks to a master output jack. Internal switching allows patching of channels for signal routing, matrixing, and select channel pass through. Each channel can also be selected to have separate input and output jacks, or a single insert jack.
